Taita Hills and Tsavo Est

Day 1: Malindi/Watamu → Taita Hills (Salt Lick Lodge)

• Early morning pick-up from your hotel/village in Watamu/Malindi (5.30 am)
• Transfer by safari jeep via Mombasa to Taita Hills Sanctuary
•  Approx. 12:30, arrival at lodge, check-in, and lunch at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
• Relax while watching animals gather at the waterhole.
• Afternoon game drive in the sanctuary: elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes, lions.
• Dinner & overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Taita Hills → Tsavo East

• Early morning breakfast at the lodge (6 am)
• Immediately after, enjoy a game drive in Taita Hills until 8am
• Return for check-out and transfer to Tsavo East National Park(approx.2 h)
• Enter via Voi Gate with game drive en route to the lodge.
• Lunch at lodge/tented camp and relax.
• Afternoon game drive in Tsavo East: red elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos, and crocodiles at Aruba Dam
• Dinner & overnight in Tsavo East.

Day 3 – Tsavo East → Watamu/Malindi

• Early morning breakfast at the lodge (6 am)
• 07:00 am check-out and morning game drive while exiting the park (approx. 2h)
• Continue towards the coast via Sala Gate.
• Arrival in Watamu/Malindi around lunch time.
  
  

Tips:

Comfortable shoes and clothing, swimsuit, passport, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, tropical insect repellent binocolar and camera.
